Andrew Tutte inspires Bury to comeback victory over Colchester

Andrew Tutte claimed a hat-trick as Bury fought back to win 5-2 at home to 10-man Colchester.

Rock-bottom Colchester's last Sky Bet League One win was in October yet they went 2-0 up inside 17 minutes through Chris Porter and Gavin Massey.

But the U's then had centre-half Tom Eastman sent off on 33 minutes and moments later Ryan Lowe pulled one back.

Tutte was credited with Bury's 50th-minute equaliser, although it appeared to go in off Kane Vincent-Young.

Tutte then scored two more while Craig Jones also got in on the act as the Shakers scored four goals in 12 minutes to stay 14th.

The U's got off to a dream start as Massey squared for Porter to convert on four minutes, before Massey scrambled the ball in after playing a one-two with Porter.

Eastman was then given a second booking and Lowe stooped to head home from the resulting free-kick, taken by Tutte.

Bury made a triple substitution at the break and it soon paid dividends as Tutte and Vincent-Young slid in to meet Lowe's cut-back.

Two minutes later a Tutte shot was deflected in and on 56 minutes Reece Brown picked out fellow substitute Tom Pope, who headed across goal for Jones to finish off.

Then, just after the hour mark, Tutte fired home from the edge of the box to seal Bury's second win in five days.
