Shakers upset Glovers play-off plans

Relegated Bury spoiled Yeovil's play-off preparations by clinching a surprise 3-2 win at Gigg Lane.

On-loan Peterborough striker Jonson Clarke-Harris scored twice as the cash-strapped Shakers said farewell to npower League One in style.

Yeovil will travel to Sheffield United next Saturday for the first leg of their play-off semi-final after holding on to fourth place.

The game got underway amid a comedy of errors, Yeovil striker Paddy Madden missing an open net after blocking a dreadful clearance from Cameron Belford.

The defending did not get any better as Yeovil failed to clear a Tom Soares corner, allowing Clarke-Harris to volley the hosts in front.

Confidence soaring, Clarke-Harris twice went close before finally doubling his tally. It was worth the wait as the teenage striker hammered a 20-yard free-kick into the bottom corner.

Fellow Peterborough loanee Nick Ajose added the third, creeping in behind Yeovil's defence to slot an accomplished finish past goalkeeper Marek Stech.

Yeovil pulled a goal back when James Hayter headed home from Edward Upson's corner before Kevin Dawson grabbed another from close range in injury time, but it was too late.
