Bury and Shrewsbury share the spoils at Gigg Lane

Bury twice came from behind twice to claim a 2-2 draw at home to in-form Shrewsbury.

Crystal Palace loanee Sullay Kaikai scored a well-taken brace for the Shrews in the first half but Tom Soares cancelled out his first effort before Peter Clarke struck in the 65th minute to secure a point.

The game burst into life in the 16th minute when Kaikai fired a 25-yard strike into the top corner.

Bury replied with Chris Hussey hitting a 30th-minute corner for Soares to score with a glancing header.

But just three minutes later Kaikai ran at the Bury defence before curling the ball in from 16 yards.

Kyle Vassell and Andy Mangan tested home keeper Chris Neal either side of the break, before the Shrews' Mark Halstead denied Danny Mayor.

Halstead then blocked another Mayor effort but from the resulting corner Clarke bundled the ball in from close range.

Bury almost went in front for the first time when Soares' close-range strike was blocked on the line by Abu Ogogo.

Hussey then went close twice late on but the Shrews held on to go eight unbeaten in League One.
