Bury and Bradford share another stalemate

Bradford climbed to within two places of the League One play-off spots despite having to settle for a 0-0 draw at Bury.

A game of few chances saw Bradford centre-half Reece Burke go closest to breaking the deadlock with a second-half header but the two sides played out another stalemate.

This was the fourth meeting between them this season and the last three have been 0-0 so, including extra time in their FA Cup replay, it is now 300 minutes in which the two teams have failed to score.

A lively game looked in the offing as Bury's Danny Pugh stung the hands of Ben Williams early on, before Lee Evans headed wide for Bradford.

Kyel Reid then fired wide for the visitors before Bury pair John O'Sullivan and Andrew Tutte tested Williams from 20 yards.

The second half continued in the same manner, with Wes Thomas firing wide for Bradford before Danny Mayor's deflected shot went straight at Williams.

Thomas then headed over from a Reid cross before Burke flicked on an Evans free-kick, which Bury keeper Ian Lawlor needed to tip over. James Hanson spurned the last chance to win it as he volleyed over from a Bradford corner.
