Brave Bury fightback shocks Shots

The former Southampton defender could only watch in horror as quick-fire goals from Stephen Dawson and Efe Sodje ended the Shots unbeaten home record. It was a dream start for Dodd when striker Scott Donnelly's shot was deflected into the path of Dave Winfield, who was left with an easy tap in after just nine minutes. But after Marvin Morgan missed a chance to extend the lead from the penalty spot, Brian Barry-Murphy's deflected free-kick levelled the scores in the 39th minute. Louie Soares put the home back in front on 71 minutes when he slotted past Wayne Brown with a deft finish but Dawson levelled again for the visitors on 73 minutes when he smashed home from close range. And things went from bad to worse for the Shots when Sodje headed home a Barry-Murphy cross just two minutes later to break Aldershot hearts and seal the three points for the visitors.
