Brass confident of Shakers' future

Scunthorpe assistant boss Chris Brass believes Bury will continue to benefit from the success the club enjoyed in the loan market under Alan Knill.Knill persuaded players from top-flight clubs to join the Shakers on loan and that culminated in the club`s promotion from League Two.And although Knill quit Gigg Lane to take over at Scunthorpe in March, Brass feels Bury will continue to prosper.Brass, who followed Knill from Bury to Scunthorpe, said: "We were attracting young Premier League players to Bury who were never available to us in the past."We unlocked it because the coaches would come to watch the training and check up. We'd send DVD and written portfolios showing what the players did while they were with us and we've made friends at the bigger clubs."We unlocked the doors because we were developing their players. Bury is a strong football club because of that talented group of footballers and that's how we see it."
