Brass pleased with Shakers fight

26 April 2009 18:31
The Shakers defended resolutely as the home side tried everything to earn the win that would have kept alive their faint hopes of a top-three finish.[LNB]"It was tough out there and a very lively pitch but I think the boys showed the character which they have been showing since the first day of the season," said Brass.[LNB]"But we've been resolute and held on in there to get a good point and that's kept our season alive going into the last match of the season.[LNB]"You've got to try and switch off from what is going on in the other matches and focus on your own performance and I think that is what we did.[LNB]"Credit to Gillingham, they were a tough side. You can see all the work Mark (Stimson) has put in with them, he's got a good, strong young team who will be in the shake-up as well."[LNB][LNB]
