Brass named Shakers assistant
Brass returns for his second spell at the club having originally moved to Gigg Lane in January 2006 as a player and eventually becoming youth coach.[LNB]However, following the departure of then manager Chris Casper, Brass was installed as the caretaker manager - taking charge of the Shakers for two months before the full-time appointment of Knill.[LNB]Brass had continued to play for non-league outfit Hyde United but is now likely to hang up his playing boots as he succeeds Wayne Allison, who left the role of Bury's short-term assistant manager earlier this week.[LNB][LNB]
