Barker pleased with Bury

Bury caretaker boss Richie Barker was full of praise for his free-scoring team as they stayed on track for automatic promotion with a 4-2 win over Northampton. Ryan Lowe, Nicky Ajose and Damien Mozika eased Bury into a 3-0 half time lead. Ajose grabbed his second to make it 4-0 before Shaun Harrad scored two consolations for the struggling Cobblers. Barker said: "That was an excellent performance, but we made things difficult for ourselves by conceding goals in the second half and it could have ended up 8-5! "It would have been nice to keep a clean sheet but we played well as a team although not always as individuals. We could have made it easier for ourselves in the end but our goal difference could prove crucial with the amount of goals we're scoring. "Ryan Lowe and Nicky Ajose are getting all the goals but the most improved player since I've been here has been Damien Mozika. Alan Knill always said he was a good player and now I can see why for myself. "Promotion is in our own hands, we've just got to go out and do the job against Burton and Barnet in our next two home games. I'm not sure if it's good to be playing teams at the bottom end of the table who are fighting to stay up but we've taken three points and I'll be looking for six more points in those next two home games."
