Barker heaps praise on Futcher
Bury caretaker boss Richie Barker has paid tribute to defender Ben Futcher as the promotion-chasing Shakers gear up for the final stages of the campaign.
Barker's men lie second, five points clear of fourth-placed Shrewsbury with just four matches remaining.
Automatic promotion to npower League One beckons and Barker was delighted to see Futcher underline his quality with a fine display in Saturday's 2-0 home win over Barnet.
Barker said: "He's had five or six play-off campaigns and he knows what it's all about.
"As well as the defending, he was out there for his experience. He's an important part of the squad.
"His attitude, not only since I came in, but with Alan Knill as well, is absolutely brilliant, especially for someone who doesn't play that often."
