Baker hails professional Shakers

Bury caretaker manager Richie Baker praised his players after they shrugged off the news of Alan Knill`s departure with a 3-0 victory over Oxford. Nicky Ajose opened the scoring after just 45 seconds and he doubled his tally after Ryan Lowe had notched his 25th goal of the season. Baker took the reigns on a temporary basis when Knill left for Scunthorpe earlier this week. He said: "It was just a professional performance by every single one of them. "Over the last 24 hours the lads' attitude has been brilliant. They've done everything that has been asked of them, and at times you don't have to ask them because they just get on with it. They pretty much manage themselves. "It has been a turbulent time but I've just let them get on with it. There's no point in fixing something that's not broke. "Anybody could have done what I did because I just let them get on with it. "They were some great goals, and I'm sure with his quality, Nicky Ajose will go on and score a lot more."
