Burton Albion have swooped to sign experienced striker Richard Walker.

Walker, 31, has joined the Football League newcomers on a two-year contract following his release by Bristol Rovers last month.

"I'm absolutely delighted to get a player of Richard's experience," manager Paul Peschisolido told the club's official website.

"He's got an excellent goalscoring record and played at a much higher level and he's a really nice lad.

"Richard will undoubtedly add to what we've already got and he'll definitely improve us."
