Talbot finally signs for Brewers

Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough has finally completed the capture of Morecambe striker Robbie Talbot.

The prolific forward passed a medical on Thursday and is expected to play some part in Saturday's pre-season friendly against Birmingham City.

Clough has been chasing the 23-year-old for much of the summer and had two earlier bids for the player rejected by the Shrimps.

Talbot struggled with a foot injury last season but had a good overall record at Christie Park scoring 24 goals in just 41 League starts.
