Pesch sees room for improvement

Burton boss Paul Peschisolido praised his player`s attitude following Albion`s 3-1 victory over Southend. However, the Canadian was not too happy with some of the football his side played as they achieved a first home league win since October. The Brewers let Southend off the hook in the 14th minute when on-loan Aston Villa striker James Collins fired wide from the penalty spot after being tripped by Graham Coughlan. But Jacques Maghoma, and own goal from Luke Prosser and another striker from Aaron Webster gave Burton all three points."I can't say I was too happy with our first-half performance. In fact, I would say it was one of our worst. However, we found ourselves two goals to the good," said Peschisolido. "The workrate and endeavour was there but the passing was poor and we just kept giving them the ball and we could have gone into our shell after James Collins missed the penalty."But we kept going and kept firing away and in the end scored a couple of goals of real quality. As the game went on, we got stronger and better and created numerous opportunities and I was pleased with some of inter-change on play in the final third."They got a goal back but I think it woke us up a bit and spurred us on. I thought we played much better second half and bossed it and could have scored two or three more."
