Broken hand woe for Redmond

Burton Albion goalkeeper Shane Redmond is expected to be sidelined until February after breaking a hand during the 2-2 draw with Rotherham United.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international picked up the injury when he dived at the feet of Millers striker Adam Le Fondre.

Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido said: "We managed to strap Shane up to get him through the game at Rotherham, but he was in a lot of pain over the weekend.

"Unfortunately, he's now in a pot and he's going to be out for between six and eight weeks. It's a bitter blow for him because he's been in the side on merit.

"He had a disaster at Shrewsbury, but he's come back in for the last four games and done extremely well."
