Brewers hope to welcome back Stride

Burton Albion boss Nigel Clough is hoping to welcome back club captain Darren Stride for the Nationwide Conference clash against Aldershot Town.

Stride has not played for a month since injuring his groin during the FA Trophy defeat at Hornchurch.

"He had a good session on Saturday and we could certainly do with him out there," Clough told the Derby Evening Telegraph.

"But we won't take any unnecessary risks with him. We don't want him back for one game, we want him back for the last eight."
