Brewers bring in new keeper

Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido is pleased to have finally ended his long search for a new goalkeeper by snapping up Nottingham Forest's Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Shane Redmond on loan.

The youngster will provide competition for the goalkeeper's jersey to 45-year-old Kevin Poole.

"We've obviously been looking for a keeper for quite some time and we were offered Shane earlier on in the summer," Peschisolido told the Brewers' official website.

"Shane has a really bright future ahead of him and Forest have now come back to us and said they really want him to get experience here and he can come here full time.

"He's a really big boy and I'm delighted to have him here, hopefully for the whole season."

Meanwhile, Peschisolido is still interested in signing Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Russell Penn.
