Brewers: Magpies owe us

Burton claim they are owed around £20,000 by Notts County in unpaid ticket sales. The Brewers say they have yet to receive the money from Notts for the allocation they sold their fans for the League Two game at the Pirelli Stadium on December 28.County have debt in the region of £1.5million and are due back in the High Court on February 24 to face a winding-up petition from HM Revenue and Customs for an unpaid tax bill. Former manager Ian McParland and Nottingham Rugby Club are also thought to be owed money by the club.Burton chairman Ben Robinson told Sky Sports News: "They sold their full allocation of tickets, which amounts to about £20,000. We spoke to them before the game and they assured us it would be paid, it wasn`t."(Notts executive chairman) Peter Trembling has rang me and said he has had talks with the FA about them paying us the money from their cup run. We have been assured we will get our money, but we will have to wait and see."But if they go out of business, which I hope they don`t, that money will be lost. We will just be another creditor and will get little, if any, of the money we are owed."
