Stanton out for Albion

22 April 2011 11:00
Burton boss Paul Peschisolido has revealed that defender Nathan Stanton requires a groin operation and will miss the rest of the season. Stanton has been struggling with a recurrence of a groin problem and will now miss three to four weeks as he goes under the knife. Long-term absentee Paul Boertien (groin) is unlikely to make the trip to Aldershot, but Peschisolido believes he could yet make the Bank Holiday Monday clash with Torquay. The Brewers have one or two other players nursing minor niggles, but Peschisolido, who will be back in the dugout after serving a one-match touchline ban against Bradford in midweek, would not identify those who require late checks. On-loan striker Sam Winnall remains suspended, but full-back Scott Malone, fellow defender Tom Parkes and midfielder Adam Bolder are available for recalls.
