Promotion not on Brewers' radar

Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido said his side would be keeping their feet on the ground following a 1-0 win over Port Vale at the Pirelli Stadium. Albion have settled into Football League life superbly following their promotion last season and the Brewers now sit just five points off the play-offs. Peschisolido refused to talk up his side's chances of making the top seven after Jacques Maghoma fired in a 39th-minute winner, but heaped praised on his players for putting in a battling performance. The Canadian said: "For a newly-promoted club we're in a great position, but we're not going to get carried away with ourselves. "It looks as though we're on target to avoid being dragged into the relegation battle, but until we've done that we won't be looking at anything else. "I asked for resilience before the game and that's what I got. It was a great performance by us in terms of how well the lads worked for each other. It was a true team performance because everyone put a shift in, but promotion isn't in our vocabulary."
