Peschisolido praises players

Burton manager Paul Peschisolido was pleased with the effort and commitment shown by his players during the 1-1 draw with Northampton - but insisted there was room for improvement. Guillem Bauza gave Northampton the lead after 39 minutes but Aaron Webster hit back for the Brewers just four minutes later to earn his side a point. Both sides had further chances to win the game but neither could find the all-important breakthrough. Peschisolido said: "We were looking for a response after Saturday (a 4-1 defeat to Barnet) and we got it right from the word go. "We're going to make mistakes and we're going to give the ball away but the one thing the supporters want is hard work, effort and commitment and I thought the lads showed that in abundance. "We showed a little bit of belief, we remained positive and we stuck to our game plan. I thought we showed people we care and we want to stay in this league." The Albion boss continued: "It's another point towards safety and it keeps Northampton in our sights. We're not setting ourselves any targets other than to try and win a few games to make sure we stay in this league. We've still got a couple of games in hand and a point is better than nothing."
