Peschisolido blasts Brewers defenders

Burton boss Paul Peschisolido believed his defenders wilted under pressure following their 4-1 defeat to Crewe. Clayton Donaldson and Shaun Miller struck in the opening seven minutes before the former netted from the penalty spot after 27 minutes when Ryan Austin pushed Dave Artell over in the box. Sam Winnall netted a consolation for the Brewers in the 83rd minute but Donaldson tapped in from close range in stoppage time to seal a memorable day for the former Hibernian man. Peschisolido said: "I don't know what has happened to our defence. Whenever they attacked they looked like they were going to score. These are the same players and same defenders who kept 10 clean sheets in a row. "Maybe it's a confidence thing but if I knew what has gone wrong we wouldn't be in this situation. We're working on it but I am sick of coming out and repeating the same thing after matches - what else can I say? "Maybe it's fatigue. That would explain why we give a really energetic performance one week and then come out and lose the next game in six minutes. One thing is for sure, we've got to hold out for more than six minutes."
