Peschi praises Brewers defence

Burton boss Paul Peschisolido has hailed the solid start to the season that his defence has made. The Brewers are yet to concede a league goal after starting the campaign with 0-0 draws against Oxford and Barnet. Peschisolido saw his side concede 71 times in 46 league matches last season. "I've said from day one that we needed to be more resilient and to look at the defensive side of it," said the Canadian. "That hard work has paid off and the foundations have been set. If you get clean sheets and don't look like you're going to concede you can slowly work on the other side of things. "It doesn't happen overnight. We will stabilise that for perhaps a month but it looks like it's working and the other side of the game will come. "I like free-flowing football and I like scoring goals but we do first need to address the major problem that we had last season."
