Brewers striker Greg Pearson has signed a new 2 year deal at the club extending his current deal until the end of the 2011/12 season Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido has been impressed with Pearsons effort despite the striker only being available on a part-time basis most of the season due to his University studies and now with the prospect of having the player available on a full time basis has opted to extend Pearson's stay at the Pirelli Stadium. Greg joined the Brewers in the summer of 2008 from Conference South side Bishop's Stortford where he enjoyed a prolific spell in front of goal persuading Nigel Clough to bring him to Burton to replace the departing Daryl Clare. The Birmingham based frontman rewarded the Brewers with a goal inside two minutes of his debut and went on to score twenty goals in his first season at the club as Albion secured the Blue Square Premier Division title and promotion to the Football League. This season has seen Pearson credited with Albion's first ever Football League goal and their first hat-trick in League 2 weighing in with thirteen goals in total as the Brewers have comfortably consolidated their League status.
