Darren Moore has been named as the Burton Albion captain for the forthcoming npower League Two campaign. The experienced defender, who was boss Paul Peschisolido`s first signing of the summer, takes over the armband from the club`s record appearance holder Darren Stride who left the Pirelli Stadium at the end of last season after 16 year`s service. "To come here and be made captain is a great responsibility," Moore told the club`s official website. "Here at Burton Albion we have a great challenge ahead of us and I am here to lend my experience and support in any way I can. "What I will me more or less doing is conducting things on and off the field. This includes helping out between players and office staff, organising the players` community appearances and the PFA."
