Leacock slays Brewers
Burton boss Paul Peschisolido handed opportunities to trialists Garyn Preen and Lewis Young but Derby ran out 1-0 winners at the Pirelli Stadium.
Preen was given a run out on the left hand side of midfield and Young, formerly of Watford and the brother of Aston Villa winger Ashley, lined up on the opposite flank.
Both players impressed but Derby settled the match in the 26th minute when Kris Commons swung in a free-kick which defender Dean Leacock headed home.
