Burton to check on Stuart Beavon ahead of Port Vale clash
Burton will check on leading scorer Stuart Beavon ahead of the visit of Staffordshire neighbours Port Vale
The five-goal striker was withdrawn from the starting line-up against Crewe in midweek after sustaining a calf injury during the warm up and the club are awaiting the results of a scan before deciding whether he will be involved on Saturday.
Zeli Ismail continues to be eased back in following his knee injury. The on-loan Wolves winger got another 20 minutes under his belt on Tuesday night but still remains some way off starting a game.
Callum Reilly (groin) and Darius Charles (broken leg) are still out injured but both players are nearing a return to first-team contention.
Vale will be without Enoch Andoh after he came off early in Tuesday's 2-1 loss at Colchester due to a knee injury, with boss Rob Page still unsure at this stage how long the winger might be sidelined for.
However, there is a chance Chris Birchall could be fit to play despite him also having to be substituted in the same game because of a thigh complaint.
Fellow midfielder Byron Moore is in contention to make his return after sitting out the Colchester match with a groin strain.
And defender Richard Duffy is available again having completed a one-match suspension.
