New signing Tyler Walker on international duty as Burton play Oldham

New loan signing Tyler Walker will not feature in Burton's Sky Bet League One clash against struggling Oldham.

The striker, who joined the club until the end of the season from Nottingham Forest, is on duty with the England Under-20s squad ahead of their clash against Canada at Doncaster on Sunday.

The Brewers bolstered their squad further before the loan window shut on Thursday by extending the deal of Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury, who is set to line up against Latics after starting in the recent wins over Fleetwood and Port Vale.

The league leaders should be at full strength, with Lucas Akins showing no signs of a knock he was suffering with prior to the game against the Valiants, scoring the opener and playing the entire 90 minutes in a 4-0 win at Vale Park.

Oldham will be without on-loan duo Matt Palmer and Timmy Thiele as the defender and forward are ineligible to play against their parent club.

Manager John Sheridan will hope Northern Ireland do not sustain any late injuries which require them to call up defender Carl Winchester, who is on the standby list for his national side.

Fellow defender Cameron Dummigan, who has missed the last two games through illness, is available for Saturday's game but will then join up with Northern Ireland's Under-21s, ruling him out of Monday's visit of Chesterfield.

Striker Curtis Main's decision to reject the chance to move back to parent club Doncaster is a boost for Sheridan, however.
