Brewers wait on duo

Zeli Ismail and Shane Cansdell-Sherriff are injury concerns for Burton's Sky Bet League Two play-off final against Fleetwood.

Ismail suffered a hamstring strain against Southend in the semi-finals, missing the second leg at Roots Hall. The winger, on loan from Wolves, underwent a fitness test at his parent club on Thursday and he will continue to be closely monitored.

Cansdell-Sherriff has not trained all week after getting through 90 minutes in Essex last weekend with a sore Achilles.

With Ian Sharps suspended for Monday's Wembley showpiece following his second red card of the season during the first leg against the Shrimpers, Albion boss Gary Rowett will have a major problem in central defence should Cansdell-Sherriff not be fit.

Jeff Hughes will not be involved for Fleetwood.

The former Notts County midfielder has not played since breaking a leg against Hartlepool in January. The Cod Army had hoped there was an outside chance he could return to fitness in time for Wembley, but boss Graham Alexander admitted this week he was definitely ruled out.

Alexander harbours hope back-up goalkeeper Scott Davies can make the bench despite a thigh problem, with 36-year-old goalkeeper coach David Lucas, who has not played a competitive game in over a year, ready to step in again - as he did against York - if necessary.

On Wednesday Alexander said he was sure of 10 of the 11 positions in his starting line-up and would inform the squad of who would be playing "well in advance" of Monday.
