Fatigue concern for Burton boss Nigel Clough

Fatigue is a concern for Burton boss Nigel Clough as his Sky Bet League One leaders prepare for the visit of Fleetwood.

With that in mind, Clough is likely to make some changes at the weekend and he has the likes of Callum Reilly and Mason Bennett vying for recalls. Tom Flanagan and on-loan Leicester teenager Hamza Choudhury could also come into contention for starting places.

"Bradford in midweek were able to rest strikers and still bring two in - we don't have that luxury," said Clough at his pre-match press conference. "One of the things you see from the tiredness and everything was the amount of free-kicks we gave away."

The versatile Darius Charles is almost fully fit after recovering from a broken leg. He has been named on the bench recently and could feature as a substitute any time soon.

Fleetwood midfielder Nick Haughton is suspended after being sent off for two bookable offences after coming on as a substitute in Saturday's draw with Sheffield United.

Centre-back Joe Davis is likely to be fit despite stitches in a head wound but his replacement against the Blades, Jack Sowerby, is out with a knee injury.

Manager Steven Pressley is hopeful defenders Nathan Pond and Conor McLaughlin (both thigh injuries) will be in contention.

Midfielder Antoni Sarcevic, who missed last weekend with a groin strain, is expected to return.
