McGurk worry for Brewers

Burton boss Gary Rowett will check on the fitness of Adam McGurk ahead of the FA Cup second-round replay against Fleetwood.

The striker suffered concussion in the 1-1 draw between the two sides in the original tie and missed Saturday's draw with York. Rowett has said McGurk will need to be "symptom-free" before he is considered for selection.

Midfielder Jack Dyer is still struggling with a knee injury but Rory Delap is unavailable after announcing his retirement from professional football.

Michael Symes is in contention to start after he returned from a groin strain as an unused substitute against the Minstermen.

Fleetwood will be without loanees Nathan Tyson and Daniel Carr.

The attacking pair have not been given permission to play by their respective parent clubs Blackpool and Huddersfield in this competition and missed the first clash between these two at Highbury Stadium.

It gives boss Graham Alexander another dilemma about who to play up top given Jamille Matt (ankle) and David Ball (shoulder) are also missing once more.

Jon Parkin was given that burden in the original meeting with the Brewers while Sheffield Wednesday loanee Emmanuel Dieseruvwe, who along with Leeds' Charlie Taylor can feature under the terms of their deals, is another option.
