Burton boss Hasselbaink considers changes after heavy defeat
Burton boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink must decide whether or not to make changes against Crewe.
Hasselbaink saw his team uncharacteristically thrashed 4-0 at Fleetwood, where his only change from the 2-0 loss at Walsall was recalling Abdenasser El Khayati in place of Mark Duffy.
"Saturday was a bad day at the office," said the Dutchman at his pre-match press conference on Monday morning.
"I need to figure it out. It is more about assessing everybody and seeing how they are. I need to look them in the eye then make my decision."
Duffy will be one of those pushing for a recall while the likes of Shane Cansdell-Sherriff, Aurelien Joachim, Tom Naylor, Timmy Thiele and Jerome Binnom-Williams are also options for Hasselbaink, who will continue to manage Zeli Ismail's return from a knee injury.
Crewe will be without forward Lauri Dalla Valle and left-back Stephen Kingsley.
Dalla Valle was forced off with a back problem against Gillingham but it is hoped he will be ready to return against Blackpool at the weekend.
Kingsley, on loan from Swansea, suffered a foot injury on Saturday and had to be carried off on a stretcher. He is set for a scan to determine the extent of the damage.
It remains to be seen whether defender George Ray is able to return to contention after missing the last two matches with a fractured cheekbone.
