Brewers stun Spireites again

Burton upset the form book to complete a hat-trick of victories over League Two pacesetters Chesterfield with 1-0 home triumph. The Brewers, who won at the B2net Stadium and also dumped the Spireites out of the FA Cup earlier in the season, climbed out of the bottom two as Aaron Webster's goal shattered Chesterfield's 10-match unbeaten run. Webster rocked the visitors when he superbly curled home his ninth goal of the season from 20 yards in the fifth minute. Burton keeper Adam Legzdins kept his side in front by keeping out a Dwayne Mattis volley, but it was the home team who dominated much of the first half. They could have more goals before the interval, but Calvin Zola clipped the top of the crossbar with a header and also fizzed a shot inches wide. Zola was again denied a goal on his home debut by Chesterfield goalkeeper Tommy Lee in the 69th minute and Webster went within a whisker of his second with a delightful chip that drifted inches wide. Substitute Jordan Bowery had a chance to salvage a point for the visitors in added time but fired into the side-netting from six yards.
