Big effort from Small
Aldershot striker Wade Small scored twice in 10 minutes to send Burton crashing to their second home defeat in four days and give the Shots a 2-1 win.
After soaking up Burton pressure in the opening stages, it was the visitors who took control of a lively contest.
Only a full-length save by Adam Legzdins denied Aldershot the lead through Glen Little in the 15th minute.
But a minute later Small got the first of his goals when he pounced on a mistake by Burton full-back Scott Malone to shoot home from eight yards.
Small made it six for the season in the 26th minute when he fastened on to a Clayton Fortune header to steer home a 12-yard shot.
Burton pulled a goal back when top scorer Shaun Harrad lashed home a 20-yard shot on the stroke of half-time. But despite frantic pressure, Burton were unable to claw their way back to level terms and only a trio of saves by Legzdins denied Marvin Morgan the chance to clinch a bigger win for the visitors.
