Albion wait on injured troops

Burton have a handful of injury doubts as they prepare to get their League Two campaign under way against Football League newcomers Oxford. Summer signing and newly-appointed captain Darren Moore has been nursing an Achilles problem following last weekend`s pre-season friendly against Kidderminster. Full-back Kevin Grocott (thigh), midfielder Jacques Maghoma (ankle) and striker Greg Pearson (thigh) are also carrying knocks. Nathan Stanton looks likely to make his debut at centre-half alongside Moore or Tony James, while goalkeeper Adam Legzdins, midfielders Adam Bolder Jack Dyer, Lewis Young and Garyn Preen and striker James Ellison are the other new arrivals hoping to force their way into manager Paul Peschisolido`s starting XI. Long-term injury victims Ryan Austin (knee), Richard Jackson and Keith Gilroy are all nearing a return.
