Burton are planning more talks with Shaun Harrad in an attempt to persuade the club`s top scorer to sign a new contract. Harrad's current deal expires at the end of the season and so far negotiations have reached deadlock. "I've spoken to Shaun's agent in recent weeks and everything has been on hold since then because we weren't able to reach an agreement," said Albion manager Paul Peschisolido. "More recently, I've had a long chat with Shaun and he stressed to me how much he loves the club. "Hopefully that's a good sign from our point of view and an indication that he wants to stay, but, in terms of a new deal, we've still not taken things any further forward. "I've suggested to him that we all sit down again in the near future, certainly before Christmas, and have another look at things." Peschisolido added: "The sooner we know how we stand with regards to Shaun the better. There's still a lot of this season to be played, but I also have to think of the future and it's important I know what his intentions are sooner rather than later."
