Wolves join hunt for Clarets striker

Wolves are ready to rival Bolton and Birmingham in the race to sign highly-rated Burnley striker Steven Fletcher, according to reports.[LNB] The Guardian claims Wolves hope to sign Fletcher from Burnley for a fee in the region of £6million as manager Mick McCarthy seeks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the 2010/11 season.[LNB]Fletcher, who caught the eye last season despite Burnley suffering relegation to the Championship, has been linked with Bolton and Birmingham.[LNB]However, Wolves hope to steal a march on their rivals and seal a quick-fire deal for the striker, who scored 12 goals for the Clarets this season.
