Wilcox leaves Turf Moor
Burnley Football Club have confirmed that assistant manager Russ Wilcox has left the club along with Brian Laws. Wilcox arrived at Turf Moor along with Laws in January of this year. He'd previously worked as assistant to him at both Scunthorpe and Sheffield Wednesday.It was always expected that he would join the Clarets once it was known that Laws was the choice to become the new manager and the two of them were unveiled on the afternoon of Wednesday 13th January.Very much like the previous assistant Sandy Stewart, and Dave Kevan before him, we've heard very little from him, not even an after match speech to let us know the manager has had to go off quickly to catch a flight to visit relatives in Scotland.Just as it was expected that he would become our assistant manager then it was just as clear that his departure would be announced along with that of Laws.
