Striker Wes Fletcher is back at Burnley after a three month loan spell at Stockport County and he wasted no time in impressing new boss Eddie Howe by scoring in a behind closed doors friendly against Preston this morning. It was played at Preston's training ground and the Clarets, who fielded a mixture of players including such as David Edgar, Andre Bikey and Steven Thompson as well as the likes of Wes, Alex-Ray Harvey and Alex MacDonald.Burnley ran out 4-2 winners with both Kevin McDonald and Ross Wallace on the scoresheet too.The game will have given some of these players a chance to stake a claim for a first team slot during the remainder of this season as they got the chance to play in front of the watching Howe and assistant Jason Tindall.
