Wallace gets Team of the Week place

Ross Wallace scored Burnley's second goal in the 3-1 win over Blackpool on Saturday and his all round performance has won him a place in this week's Football League Championship Team of the Week.

Wallace has been an ever present in the league team this season for the Clarets and Saturday's goal was his third in the league this season, equalling his total for the whole of last season.

In making the team I believe he becomes the first Burnley player to do so in successive weeks. He was in the named eleven last week following his goalscoring performance in the 2-1 win at Coventry whilst Brian Easton, Charlie Austin and Lee Grant have also been named on one occasion this season.

This week he finds himself lined up alongside former Burnley captain Steven Caldwell who was in the Birmingham side that kept a fourth successive clean sheet. The team this week is made up of players from nine clubs with two players winning places from both Hull and Watford.

The team is: Adriano Basso (Hull), Danny Butterfield (Southampton), Kaspars Gorkss (Reading), Steven Caldwell (Birmingham), Joe Dudgeon (Hull), Mark Yeates (Watford), Craig Bryson (Derby), Andy King (Leicester), Ross Wallace (Burnley), Marvin Sordell (Watford), Sam Baldock (West Ham).
