Whether Chelsea midfielder Jack Cork will be able to return to Burnley remains unclear with his current club Chelsea still to make a decision on the player's future. Cork has just celebrated his 21st birthday and has certainly not turned down the chance of a return to Turf Moor next season, either permanently or on loan. He has two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge and ultimately they will decide whether he has a future there. That decision is in the hands of sporting director Frank Arnesen. If he believes Cork should stay with the club then it is expected he'll be required for their pre-season when a number of their players will not be available because of the World Cup.Under those circumstances, a loan move could come late in the day, even after the start of the season. If they decide he can move on a permanent basis there is no doubt that both Burnley and Cork would be very interested in the player returning to Turf Moor on a permanent basis.Cork said, after scoring in the last game of last season against Spurs: "I want to see what the feedback is at Chelsea."Maybe if Burnley come in for me in the summer I'll have to really, really think about it. I know next year we'll have a really strong team, especially if we keep a lot of the players. The financial situation is good and it's a really good club. I can really see Burnley bouncing back."Manager Brian Laws has confirmed that they will monitor Cork's situation at Chelsea and do all he can to bring him back to Turf Moor, and Jack Cork in a Burnley shirt next season would be a move to really lift the fans.
