Tudgay won't be leaving - Laws

The Clarets, looking to boost their squad following promotion, were flatly refused permission to speak with the 28-year-old Owls player of the year and have since signed Steven Fletcher from Hibernian for £3million. "We said right from the start that we were not interested in selling Marcus, but Burnley put in a derogatory offer and, as is often the case, that turned his head," said Laws. "You can understand the lad wants to play in the Premier League, but we're not a selling club and he's one of our best players. "The best player in the world has his price, you only have to look at the £80million paid for Ronaldo, but Burnley were no where near the figure we would have considered for Tudgay. "They were flirting with the idea and I think they've now gone elsewhere."
