Burnley boss Steve Cotterill has paid tribute to Frank Sinclair ahead of the veteran defender's 100th appearance for the Clarets.
The 34-year-old central defender arrived at Turf Moor on a free transfer from Leicester City in 2004 and will reach the milestone in Saturday's clash with West Bromwich Albion.
"I think there have been a few now that have gone past the 100-game mark and all credit to them because they put themselves up for selection every week and, to be fair, with the size of our squad, that's what you need," Cotterill told the club's official website.
"Frank has done that since he first arrived here and he's been a great signing.
"He's an excellent character to have around the place and is good with everyone, not just the younger players.
"He's a good talker on the pitch and more than anything he defends by joining in with the back four."
