Terry desperate to win title

Goals from Nicolas Anelka, Michael Ballack and Ashley Cole kept Chelsea's 100% record intact and left Burnley tasting defeat for the second time this season. Burnley had little answer to a rampant Chelsea but it could have been a different story had Martin Paterson not squandered a gilt-edged chance to put Owen Coyle's side ahead in the ninth minute. "It's four wins from four which is important," Terry told ESPN. "But the overall performance, the work-rate, working for each other all over the pitch shows we are desperate to win this Premier League. "In the first half we had a lot of chances and maybe should have scored more. They made it difficult and overall I thought we were fantastic today." Goalscorer Cole added: "When a lot of teams come here they seem to sit back but these came at us a bit today and I think it helped us. "When we got the first goal it gave us a bit of confidence, they had to come out a bit more which created more chances for us. "It's my third season here and for me it seems we're closer to being a family, the spirit is better than I've ever seen it here. We're hungry to win and hopefully this season can be our year." Burnley boss Owen Coyle said: "I don't think you could argue, Chelsea were the better side and deservedly got the three points. "I was a bit disappointed, I thought we competed well in the first half and there was a suspicion of offside with the goal. "Then we lost two early goals in the second half but in the first half we competed well and had a couple of opportunities."
