Spirites capture Gunner Randall

Former loan player Mark Randall has signed a one year deal with Chesterfield today having been released by Arsenal at the end of last season. It's over three years since midfielder Mark Randall joined Burnley from Arsenal on loan, but things haven't gone as well as he might have hoped since returning to the Emirates, and that led to his release. But Chesterfield boss John Sheridan moved quickly and Randall agreed to a move to the B2net Stadium. "I've seen the way Chesterfield play so I had no hesitation in signing for the club when approached by manager John Sheridan and am really looking forward to coming to the B2net," Randall said after completing the move. After his time at Burnley, Randall had loans with both MK Franchise and Rotherham, but a broken collar bone on his debut limited his appearances at Rotherham last season to just ten appearances.
