Burnley's early bird period for season ticket sales ended on Thursday with news that the club have sold in excess of 10,500 for the 2011/12 season. Again the early bird period came earlier than usual and again the sales are considerably higher than in the last Championship season prior to promotion. All sales have now been suspended although for those who have bought season tickets there will soon be a period when people can, if they wish, swap seats.Chairman Barry Kilby said on hearing the news of the figure: "The Board of Directors is delighted at the number of season tickets sold during the early bird period."The figure shows we are heading in the right direction and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all supporters for their loyal support."
