Sean Dyche and Bouncebackability?

Following the recent Monday night mauling at the Hawthorns when Tony Pulis rolled the Dyche, the multi-million dollar question should be, "Can Burnley bounce back" against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City?

Last time round in the Premier League, a solitary George Boyd strike secured three points for the Clarets at Turf Moor in an against all odds 1-0 victory for Sean Dyche's battling Burnley.

Burnley entertain Manchester City on Saturday at Turf Moor in front of the SKY cameras in a Premier League televised game with a 12.30 kick off time .
City visit Burnley on the back of Wednesday night's disappointing Champions League encounter with Borussia Monchengladbach, a game which finished 1-1 in a fairly soulless stalemate.

Clarets' gaffer Sean Dyche will no doubt hope City's travelling time and the limited availability of recovery opportunities might go against the Etihad Stadium based Blues of Manchester.

Dyche has already masterminded a goalless draw at City rivals Manchester United and will be looking to conjure up another trick or two at Turf Moor on Saturday in the early televised kick off.

City failed to capitalise on 69% of ball possession in Germany. Sean Dyche usually sets up his Claret's formation to yield possession and play on the counter attack, a tactic played to perfection in Burnley's last home victory against Crystal Palace in a splendid for the neutral 5 goal thriller.

On Monday night Tony Pulis called Dyche's bluff and allowed Burnley unlimited possession in a footballing humiliation when the Clarets got thrashed 4-0. It was West Bromwich Albion who caught Burnley cold on the counter attack and the result was all over by halftime.

I assume Burnley will go on the offensive and attempt to go "toe to toe" with a jet lagged Manchester City.

Dyche is widely expected to revert to his favoured 4-4-2 formation bringing last season's leading Championship scorer Andre Gray back into the fold.

Possible Burnley lineup: Heaton, Lowton, Keane, Mee, Ward, Gudmundsson, Defour, Hendrick, Boyd, Vokes, Gray.

It will be interesting to say the least how Burnley can repeat the heroics of two season's ago and grab a badly needed home victory. (TEC).
