Southampton have signed defender Danny Fox from Burnley for an undisclosed fee.[LNB] The 25-year-old left-back has put pen to paper on a four-year contract at St Mary's and will be in the squad to face Barnsley on Saturday if he gets Football League clearance in time.[LNB]"I'm made up to be here and for a club as big as Southampton to be interested in me is very flattering," Fox told Saints' official website.[LNB]"As soon as I found out about the interest I spoke to Jack Cork, who was on loan at Burnley last year, and he couldn't speak highly enough of the club, the manager and the players."[LNB]Boss Nigel Adkins added: "Danny is an experienced player having played in the Premier League and with Celtic and he's very talented.[LNB]"We have also got Dan Harding, who plays in his position, and Ryan Dickson, so we have got great competition for places."
