Russell and Boyeson are Easter referees
Mick Russell and Carl Boyeson will referee our Easter games against Derby County at Pride Park on Saturday followed by the home game against Portsmouth on Easter Monday. Mick Russell from Hertfordshire has refereed us just once before. He was in charge of our 2-1 home defeat against Sheffield United in April 2008, whilst Carl Boyeson, who sits bottom of the Rate the Ref table was the referee when we came from two behind to beat Crystal Palace 4-2 in March 2009. That was the last of five Burnley games he's refereed.
