Remco van der Schaaf has found himself a new club after his release by Burnley and remains in the Danish League having signed a two year deal with Randers. He's been on loan with Brøndby for the last season and a half before being released by the Clarets and has now signed this deal to remain in the Danish Superliga with Randers. Reporting the signing, they said: "32 year-old Dutch veteran Remco van der Schaaf joins the club from Brøndby, where he has been on loan from npower Championship club Burnley FC. "Remco's combination of unflinching defensive play and goal-scoring flair make him the ideal rock on which to build for Randers FC, bringing maturity and experience to complement the influx of young talent." It's three years since he joined the Clarets and was hailed as the just about the most important summer signing. After a pre-season in which he missed a number of games through injury he was in the side for the opening game against Sheffield Wednesday. He had something of a nightmare and was substituted just before the hour. At Bury, on the following Tuesday, he was left out of the side and never played for Burnley again at first team level. He had a short loan spell with Brøndby in the 2008/09 season before returning to them in January 2010 where he saw out the remaining 18 months of his Burnley contract.
